A gospel : He’s got the whole world in his hands

 

A gospel was originally a song that was sung by black people working in the fields in the South of the USA. It has a typical rhythm and is usually about God and his influence on men.

 

Vocabulary

whole : synonym of “complete”

tiny = very, very small, little

world = the planet Earth and the people who live on it.
